Morning Temples

The 10th Gate Gurdwara

Welcome to the Dasamdwar Gurdwara

with Satyavrati Karta Singh

Every morning 4.00-4.30 | Gurdwara

Gurdwara means the door to the Guru; one of the many doors at Le Martinet which is open to everyone. The cave, the sanctuary, is the feminine part of the Gurdwara, representing the Yoni. The Nishan, the long, tall pole to heaven rising up from the roof of the sanctuary, is the masculine part, as a Shiva Linga. Together they are the sacred union, the realization of the One.

Every morning at 4.00 before first light, we gather at the lotus feet of the Guru. Through the Shabad Guru, singing the Raga on the words of the Guru, we elevate our frequency into the field of Oneness. This field is beyond orthodoxies. Anyone is welcome, no matter the religious background, no matter the race or social conditions, or any sort of distinction.

Then, we offer an open prayer and ask for guidance. The Siri Guru Grand Sahib is the blessed book through which we can access a clear guidance for the current time. Any individual can ask for personal advice, or randomly as a Sanghat we can receive a piece of guidance for the day. We call it a Hokum. The meaning is “an order”. When you ask and you are answered, you have to follow up!

This place holds the Sat Sanghat together, unified in the service to all. According to Guru Nanak, Japji Pauri 28, the highest religion is to elevate yourself to universal brotherhood, or even better, consider every living being as equal.
